Gardner Winter Music Festival 2026

The Gardner Winter Music Festival will be held in person this year on Friday evening, February 27 and all day Saturday, February 28, 2026 at South Middle School in Morgantown, West Virginia. This annual festival has been bringing traditional Appalachian music, song, and dance to the region since 1979 and features music in the auditorium, workshops, informal jam sessions, a swing dance Friday night (7 to 9 pm), a square dance Saturday night (7 to 9 pm), and food. Workshops include lap and hammered dulcimer, fiddle, guitar, tin whistle, autoharp, banjo, spoons, dance calling, singing, and more. Come to play and dance, or just come to listen. Admission is $3 on Friday, $5 on Saturday (donations gratefully accepted). Children 7 and under are free. Admission includes auditorium, workshops, jam sessions, and dances.
