Apr 29, 2026: IgniteWV at Metropolitan Theater
IgniteWV is open to those 18 years and older and living in West Virginia. IgniteWV is made up of three rounds (1) a pre-recorded 90-second pitch public YouTube video to be submitted electronically (currently online via VentureDash) where tentative semifinalists are recommended; (2) an interview conducted by the Advisory Committee of the recommended finalists and their qualifications to compete; and (3) an in-person final presentation to potential investor-judges. The top scores from the first round, as determined by a group of judges, will be moved to the second round and those approved by the Advisory Committee will compete in the finals. Those selected as finalists will go through training, mentoring, and coaching prior to the final competition. Technical assistance may be made available to finalists. Prizes will be awarded to the competitors in amounts and on conditions determined by the judges
