Synopsis:
When an aging King Lear divides his kingdom based on his daughters' flattery, he triggers a devastating betrayal by his eldest daughters, Goneril and Regan, while banishing his loyal daughter, Cordelia. As Lear descends into madness, and a parallel subplot of betrayal unfolds with the Earl of Gloucester, the play explores the consequences of unchecked power, loyalty, and filial ingratitude.
